*** UPDATE 07/30/2010 ***

Inmate Search feature is now online for In Custody Inmates Only

*** PRESS RELEASE 07/20/2010 ***

Sheriff Paul C. May has released the following information:

Reference: Inmate Search Feature on www.okeesheriff.org

During a records accuracy review of the inmate search feature on the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Website, www.okeesheriff.org on 07/19/2010, a record was discovered which did not accurately reflect the charges against an unnamed individual.

Upon further research of the record in question, it was discovered that the issue was due to a software bug located between the Jail Records Management Software (JRMS) and the OCSO Records Management Software (RMS).

The record in question was accurately reflected in the JRMS system, but did not transfer properly to the OCSO RMS side of the records system.  The data reflected on the Inmate Search Feature depends upon this records transfer to provide accurate, and complete information.  Due to this discovery, the Sheriff has authorized his staff to disable this search feature until the software bug has been resolved and verified.
